Reestablishing the Pecking Order

Buttercup is the dominant goat in her herd.  She's the first to eat and the other goats let themselves be shoved around by her.  She bullied Rosie so bad that I had to rearrange all the pastures just to get Rosie away from her.

But...Buttercup has been in the barn with her baby and away from the herd for a week.  Things have changed out in the pasture and Buttercup had some attitude adjustments to tend to when she rejoined her minions.

"I'm baaaack!"

"Say what?  There's a new game in town, sistah."

"I don't think so."

"You want a piece of meat (inside joke)?"

Much pushing and shoving and rattling of horns.

"I'll give you a piece of ham (more inside joke)."

"Uncle?"

Billy came to watch.  Baby is learning the ropes.

"And that's how it's done, son."

"Eh, eh, eh.  Phfffbbbttt!"
