I came close to having the same scene. They get bored if they're cooped up without entertainment, from what I hear. Barking started up - so I found two things that have worked. Carrots chopped into bits and strewn across the shavings - and a plate of yogurt with mashed Acidophilus tabs.
Yes, I decided that the weather was too bad yesterday so I kept them in their coop and yard. I think by the end of the day, they couldn't take it anymore. Needless to say, I let them free range today.
Ewww..what a bully! Maybe the #2 rooster was getting to frisky with the new ladies and #1 decided to put him in his place?
