Guinea Egg Stash

I knew our guineas must have been laying eggs somewhere since they aren't laying them in the coop. Tom found the stash in our brush pile as he was chipping wood for mulch.

There are 27.  There's even an white one.  I wonder if that means anything?

Have you tried them yet? I'm surpised the 'coons didn't get to those first.

Yeah, I can't believe the coons hadn't found them either. I guess the dogs keep the coons on their toes. And, yes, I boiled some to have on a chef salad for dinner a few nights ago. They taste just like chicken. heh. The differences are (1) they're smaller (2) the shell is much harder to crack than a chicken egg (3) they peel much easier than a boiled fresh chicken egg.
